Filipe Barbado

Director of Solution center, Delivery Manager

"I'm Portuguesse and have been living in Brno since 2010. I started long time ago as a programmer but wasn't great at it so eventually moved to a manager position :) Since 2014, I've been heading software delivery departments for different companies, also leading agile transformations, so I've been still connected to development, people and technology all that time. Now looking forward to establishing and building the Level.works team in Brno.

I like football, cycling, Formula 1, watches, traveling, a beer with friends and Star Wars!"

Honza Beránek (Beri)

Senior Software Developer

"Even though originally I wanted to be a graphic designer, I started my career as a developer in 2010 in a company called FNZ. After a year or so I moved to a team leader role and worked there until the summer 2016. Then I worked in two other companies and in early 2022 I joined Level.works. Apart from the usual developer work I'm also helping Filipe to establish the Brno Solution center and building the team. Graphics remained my hobby until today and I'm helping Kate with those time to time.

I also like sports, both actively and pasively (I'm passionate Kometa fan), books, movies, and PC games. I'm married and have two children, which means my hobbies are currently way down the priorities ladder :) "

Šimon Procházka

Software Developer

"Originally I'm from Sloup, near Brno and Moravian Karst. Since 2018, I'm calling Brno my home. Having an academic background in economics and information management, I joined Level.works in August 2022. I found myself in JavaScript for web and mobile development, focusing on various development methodologies. If you're interested, I made my own portfolio website.

On top of that I enjoy personall challenges like obstacle courses, marathons or bouldering."

Noe Pinto

QA Lead & Scrum Master

"I’m a Spanish physicist who decided to change career to IT when I moved into Czech Republic back in 2015. After almost a decade in the industry, I’ve had multiple roles: Test engineer, Test manager, Delivery manager, Scrum master. I enjoy combining all that knowledge to help the teams become more efficient and happy. I joined Level.works in 2022, as a Scrum master and QA lead, searching for a more healthy work environment and a better work/personal life balance. I definitely found that here.

On my spare time I am a proud father, decent rock climber and football player. I usually drag people from the office to do sports with me, so we now have a nice climbing group, and sometimes join football games together, which is really fun, and help us become better friends and colleagues."

Kateřina Culková (Kate)

HR & Recruitment Generalist

"After my studies I spent some years abroad, mostly working with people after spinal cord injuries. In 2017 I decided to stay in Brno, my hometown. My career dream was always to make people working in companies happy and engaged, and got that opportunity thanks to Level.works. I joined the company in October 2022 and it was one of the best decisions I've made in a while.

In my free time, I'm spending quality time with my son, doing sports - engaging him in variety sports like cycling, skiing, running. I have an Irish Setter, so I so I devote some time to taking her out for walks as well. Whenever the opportunity arises, my family and I love to embark on travel adventures together."

Natálie Baranová (Nat)

Junior Product Owner

Originally from Havirov, Nat joined Level.works in June 2023. Her hiring story was rather unique - during that time she was traveling and often unreachable by phone, she managed to return our missed call and eventually joined our team. Adding to the unconventional start, Nat's first day happended at our cottage event, making for quite the memorable introduction. Despite these initial quirks, she quickly proved herself and became an integral part of our team.

Her position from the beginning was a Junior Tester with an experience of writing automated tests, but with her eagerness and great work attitude she also played a crucial role as our product support. In the spring of 2024, she was given the opportunity to take on the role of Junior Product Owner. As of October 2024, she has been working from our Rotterdam office.

Naty loves travelling, attending music festivals (incl. Burning Man) and spending time with her friends.

Max Beauchez

Data Scientist

"I'm a bio-science engineer from The Hague, now based in the Czech Republic. I studied life sciences and bio-science engineering in The Netherlands and Belgium. During my master's thesis, I discovered my preference for data processing, analysis, and modeling over traditional biological research.

After graduating, I moved to Czechia, attracted by its natural landscapes, cuisine, and architecture. Currently, I work on company data analysis, reporting, dashboard creation, and machine learning model development.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling to less popular destinations, exploring new places off the usual tourist routes."

Jakub Mokrejš (Kuba)

Developer

"In summer 2023 I started at the company as an intern. The Level.Works platform was the first real project I worked on. Before starting the internship, I gained my first experience with software development at Tietoevery and while studying for a master's degree in the field of Bioengineering. After my internship, I was offered to stay here full-time, and I did.

In my spare time, I play football, which I like to watch together with hockey on TV. When I don't have anything to do with sports, I spend time with my fiancé and dogs in nature."

František Brothánek (Franta)

Developer

"Hi, my name is Franta, born and raised in Brno. I hold a Master's diploma in IT Management from Brno University of Technology. During my academic years, I started my career path as a developer in a small company specializing in information systems for Universities. After I graduated in 2021, I joined Kyndryl as a full-stack developer and automation engineer of a custom ticketing system. Since 2023, I'm excited to be a part of Level.works team.

Beyond work, I'm passionate about sport climbing, fishing, and playing bass guitar. Also, I love traveling, cooking, and being offline in the woods or mountains, finding peace and inspiration there. These hobbies help me balance my professional life with personal fulfilment."

Daniel Kresta (Dan)

Developer

"I began my career as an electrical engineer after graduating from the technical university in Brno. With a growing interest in programming, I started focusing on coding for microcontrollers, eventually transitioning into web development as a frontend developer. I joined Level.works in October 2023 with an opportunity to become a full-stack developer, which I am currently working towards.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, playing games (both digital and board), reading books, and cooking, especially Italian and Asian cuisine. While I'm not particularly skilled at team sports, I do enjoy running as my main form of physical activity."

Radek ObĂral

Developer

"I've been programming since I was 15 years old, and the passion for it has only grown stronger over time. Coming to Brno for studies, with experience gained through years working in both smaller startups and larger companies, I eventually stayed at Level.works enjoying the diversity of coding problems to tackle having the freedom to explore all sides of development.

Beyond coding, you'll often find me gaming, cycling, climbing, hitting the gym, or just simply sculpting and doing arts, even though lately I'm more in my technical era so I'm sidelining those."

Iuliia Mariachkina (Juli)

Developer

"I started working as a software developer while studying computer science. After a few years, I got interested in React and began learning it in my spare time. That's when I found Level.works. Initially, I was attracted to their tech stack, but I stuck around for the great culture. At Level, I feel supported and valued, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow as a developer.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, and going for walks. I also love traveling whenever I get the chance."

Nane Maysuryan

Junior Tester

"I'm originally from Armenia and hold a Master's degree in Economics. While studying for my degree, I worked as an administrative assistant at a bank. After graduating, I joined a consulting company as a financial controller, where I spent three years working closely with the accounting department. After my maternity leave, I developed an interest in testing. I completed several online courses and began freelancing on various online platforms. Wanting to be part of a team again, I looked for a regular job and found Level Works. Now, I’m happy to be contributing to a friendly and professional team here.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about parenting, spending time with my family, reading, listening to podcasts, and traveling."

Juraj Kriššák

Junior Software Developer

"As a student currently attending university, I've learned two things: it's important to seek experiences beyond the university and to build strong relationships with people who can help propel me forward. I believe I've found both at Level.works. I joined Level.works as an intern in the role of Full-Stack Developer. What I love about programming is its ability to turn any wild idea into reality, and that's what we strive to achieve here.

After the internship, I was offered the opportunity to stay on the team as a part-time Junior Software Developer and as an ambassador for Level at the academic level.

In my free time, I enjoy immersing myself in mountains and books. I love almost all sports, but my favorites include soccer, tennis, snowboarding, and working out at the gym. One of my favorite activities is investing in individual company stocks. Essentially, I'm a programmer who enjoys spending leisure time away from the PC."

Ján Svitana

Summer Intern

"Currently, I am still a student of information technology at VUT in Brno. Programming is increasingly becoming my passion and somewhat of a personal hobby. I am open to discovering and using various new technologies. At Level.works, I got the opportunity to work as an intern in the summer of 2024. In the future, I would definitely like to pursue fullstack software development because I enjoy creating something that can be useful to other people. After completing the internship, I was offered the opportunity to work part-time and serve as an ambassador for Level at the academic level.

Besides programming, I mainly engage in sports and occasionally music. However, I also enjoy a good movie or TV series. From time to time, I like to try different new activities to broaden my horizons and gain new experiences and adventures."

Ammar Younis

Software Tester

"I’m Ammar, I hold a Master's degree in Design and Production Engineering, specializing in materials, but somewhere along the way, I swapped steel for software. Now, instead of analyzing materials, I’m on the hunt for bugs before they find you. Armed with test cases and a good sense of humor, I navigate between breaking software and ensuring it’s spotless. When not tracking glitches, I’m debugging my life or recharging with coffee. Think of me as the bug whisperer, taming tech one bug at a time!

Outside of work I’m either on the football field (or watching it), crushing foosball, gaming, or just wandering around, enjoying some downtime. There’s always time for a match or a good adventure!"
